Something about a love story...

I finished reading Message in a Bottle By Nicholas Sparks few hours ago...all choked up at the end, needed a chocolate to kill the sadness....Loved the book no doubt... But feeling the same....apprehensive...kind of hazy...if I could use this word to describe my feelings....its not only apprehension about the overall love life...its a doubt....why the hell all love stories has to end up in a sad or depressed manner??? Can't the couple jus be happy n content together?....
Is it always that the end has to be so painful....I am not talkin about only the book...but from my experience...from my frnds' experience..i know the feeling of loving someone n being loved is as if feeling elated...But then y the hell does the end suffer...y the tears...why the suffering...???

Will anyone be ever able to answer those questions???

I don't want an answer saying until n unless u dun experience pain...u won't value happiness....
coz my reply to this would be that, "even if I eat Ice cream everyday, I would still love it as much as I would have if I eat it once in a blue moon!!!!!!!!"

  1. I want to attempt an answer to that...
Love creates pain- I agree with you. I don't know about books but I have seen in real life.
    First a few facts-
Even Psychology study brings you to a conclusion that, Human Beings are selfish- its the animal instinct that makes us so.
Even Great people have acted selfish when they knew perfectly well what the actions would result in the future.Cant give examples- there are too many.
History has illustrated this time and again.

    Now, my OPINION-
What I am trying to say is if you want perfect happiness your love must be completely pure- UNADULTERATED.
Tell me where you can find such love in the first place!!Its impossible because of reasons cited above.
People take each other for granted after commitment.
even the nicest people take out their anger only on their loved ones. Why? you know better being a psycho specialist.
Personally, I feel that one's quest shouldn't be for the perfect love.
It should be towards perfectly knowing oneself- the more we keep ourselves busy looking within the more we discover, become calm, become human. Because some great person has said that all the answers are within you.
As for love, We should pray and leave it to destiny. Make sure that we value whatever we have been given.Be grateful. That will reduce all the pain. Hundred percent guarantee( experienced):-)

  2. @ poonam, well said...
From my point of view, shweta...Love is a state of mind...its about how u accept a person and are accepted in return...yes, for no problem in a relationship, love shud be pure and unadulterated...but tht is the IDEAL...
as human beings, we are bound to expect, and expectations lead to us becoming bitter...either at ourselves or at others...for having expected or our expectations not having been met..
all relationships have their ups and downs...then why should romantic love be perfect? why can it not have its ups and downs?

moreover, wht can be defined as "the end"...story books have endings...till u die, ur end doesnt arrive...

  3. thanks a lot guys!!! it was nice to read these answers to my questions.I expected love story's happy ending without pain coz-
but it might be because love has always been exaggerated as perfect pure and forever...n I was somewhere biased that it should be kinda fairy tale story... n out of tht expectation I guess i dint want the pain there...

  4. I think, its not d end that matters....its the beautiful moments, the time spend together...if it doesn't work that doesnt make a love story bad..(remember sandeep khare had said dis in ayushyavar bolu kahi)...i believe des love stories tell us to cherish all the moments we spend wid the loved ones irrespective of the ending!
